Fantasy Football Fest Announced

The 2011 Fantasy Football season may be over but it’s never too early to plan for next year. How many of you look forward to your Fantasy Football drafts each year? Hey, what’s not to like? Getting together with the guys, drinks, food and football! There’s also that matter of winning your league trophy. It’s a matter of pride, and being able to boast that you kicked everyone’s butt on the Fantasy Football field shows that you know your pro football better than everyone else.

So what would you say if I told you that there was going to be the first ever Fantasy Football Fest (see press release). That’s right; the fine folks over at ReedPOP, the premier convention company in the nation known for focusing on convention attendee personal experiences, are inviting everyone to descend on the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ August 18-19, enabling the public to take the virtual Fantasy Football fan experience to the gridiron. The Fantasy Football Fest will provide a unique in-person experience by catering to the passion and devotion of millions of fantasy and general football fans. The convention will not only cater to the hard core Fantasy Football player, but to all shapes and sizes. Adults, children, families and those looking to have a getaway weekend with the guys, actually holding their 2012 Fantasy Football draft in a draft room at the convention, will all find interactive activities and items of interest.

One of the more interesting things at the event is the chance for people to HobNob with some of the NFL greats as RotoExperts will have some of its NFL Legends on hand. Here’s what NFL Hall of Fame finalist Chris Doleman had to say about the Fantasy Football Fest.

With a virtual who’s who of sponsors, in its inaugural year, the Fantasy Football Fest is expected to bring over 25,000 fans into approximately 300,000 square feet of total experience space. As Fantasy Sports approaches a $3 billion industry in the US, those attendee estimates may be wildly conservative. Consider the fact that the outrageously successful New York Comic Con Convention drew over 100,000 people to the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC this past year and you’ll see what I mean.

Activities and special events include a Draft Day Party, Athlete and Celebrity appearances, Sports Video Game tournaments and free-play, interactive athletic competitions, Sports Memorabilia, a Tailgate Party and Beer Tasting. While the Fantasy Football Fest focuses on fantasy football including space for leagues to conduct drafts and fantasy experts providing tips and insights to help players’ teams perform at their best, the festival is much more than just fantasy. It promises to be about every aspect of professional football except strapping on the pads in getting hit. The show will offer something for every member of the family in addition to an amazing weekend for the hardcore fantasy player.
