NFL Players Turn To Porn During Lockout

This is what happens when NFL players get bored. They either get into trouble with the law (see Kenny Britt on a daily basis) or trouble with the league. ABC 7 in Chicago has discovered that Five NFL players were featured in a recent advertisement for an Exxxotica Expo 2011 party in Miami in May. Hey, what goes better together in America than football and porn right?

So what’s the problem with being in an ad you ask? The problem is that they were in uniform. You would think that the problem might have been that they weren’t in uniform, perhaps weren’t wearing anything, but no, the problem is that they were pictured in their NFL uniforms suggesting that they were representing their teams / the NFL.

The players in the ad who were supposedly “hosts” of the party were Chicago Bears safety Major Wright, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford, and Houston Texans cornerback Kareem, Jackson. Rumor has it that the Texans requested that the Exxxotica Expo impose an entry cover charge on Jackson even though he was a host, just to show him how to cover. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

The event in question was billed as the official launch party for the Expo, which will take place in Chicago sometime next month. Excluding impromptu orgies, it’s said to be the world’s largest gathering of porn stars in the world. Who tracks these things? Does the job come with health benefits?

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy has been quoted as saying, “The NFL office works on behalf of the clubs to protect their intellectual property rights in matters such as this.”

Here’s the ad. Anyone offended?

This seems like much ado about nothing to me. I bet most of the time the players have no idea that any marketing is being done with a picture of them. I’m certain they didn’t provide them.

So football fans, you don’t have football, but you do have porn. So how many of you are going to Chicago next month?
